Power of Woman

Fernanda

Originally from Mexico, Fernanda began her path through dance at the age of 12 in jazz and Mexican folk dance schools. At 17, she began to dance in choreographic groups of musical comedy, modern dance and hip hop where at the same time she had the opportunity to dance with various Mexican artists for TV.

This is when Fernanda began her career in crossbody salsa participating in shows and competitions nationwide. At the age of 19, she began a degree in contemporary dance at the Morelos Center for the Arts, where she was able to learn various dance techniques including ballet, afro-cuban, modern, and folklore, among many others.

Later on, she moved to Playa del Carmen, Cancun, Mexico, where she began working as a professional dancer and continued her career as a performer with live bands dancing in different dance styles.

Fernanda currently teaches Salsa & Bachata and continues to share her passion for dance and all of the Latin American culture here in the UK. As one of Liverpool's SBK teachers, we are super excited to have her at our event next spring.
